At the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066, Norwich was one of the most important boroughs in the kingdom.

The Normans moved the city's market from Tombland to its current location in the heart of the city where it remains a main area of trading.

The largest six day open-air market in England, you will find more than 200 market stalls selling a huge range of products and services.

The Market is open 8am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday.

Take a 360° view of Norwich Market.

In the distance of the webcam picture, you can also see Norwich Cathedral and, on occasions, Norwich Castle.

Norwich Cathedral

Norwich Cathedral is set in the largest close in England. The construction work on the cathedral began in 1096 under the Norman bishop Herbert de Losinga, but he did not see the cathedral finished before he died in 1119.

The cathedral spire is the second tallest in England, and the cloisters are the largest monastic cloisters in the country.

Take a 360° view from Cathedral spire.

Norwich Castle

From Ancient Egypt to Norman life, natural history to modern art, Norwich Castle Museum houses a huge range of displays - including the largest collection of ceramic teapots in the world.

Visitors to the castle can also enjoy extensive collections of ceramics, glass, Lowestoft porcelain and English silver.

Take a 360° view inside the castle keep.
